WinGate is a Wilderness Therapy program located in the Grand Staircase Escalante. Their mission is to heal and restore families, relationships, and a healthy lifestyle through outdoor adventure therapy, and they have, in many cases, been successful. WinGate recently shut down, not because of any faults in their programing, but instead due to a couple factors, mostly surrounding the Breaking Code Silence movement*. New laws and the amount of parents that are now unsure which treatment centers they can trust considering social media's take on Wilderness Therapy have made it too difficult to maintain the continuance of WinGate.
*Let us note that WinGate Wilderness Therapy has not checked any of the boxes for "Red Flags" of abuse according to the BCS movement.
